I love Japanese ramen. Love it.
And now, I can be it!
Hakone Kowakien Yunessun, a spa theme park located in Hakone, has just unveiled a new themed bath.
The new themed bath is… yes! A bowl of ramen noodle soup! The Mainichi Daily News describes the bath as:
The bath, shaped like a ramen bowl, contains pepper-flavored water colored a light, milky brown, to like tonkotsu (pork bone) ramen soup.
<simpsons sound=”drool”>aaaaaauuuuuuhhhhhh forbidden ramen…</simpsons>
According to Yusuke Sato, one of their employees, “Customers may have been puzzled first, but I think they enjoyed it … because the hot water smells good, like pepper.”
Imagine that. Bathing in tasty, peppery water. What’s to stop you from licking your neighbor? Then nibbling? Then CHOMP.
There are also ramen noodles. Yes, ramen noodles. Made up of bathwater additives. (“Is that a ramen noodle, or are you just happy to see me?”)
And if ramen isn’t your thing, the Hakone Kowakien Yunessun theme park also has green tea, coffee, and red wine baths.
Which makes me wonder if you can actually order red wine while bathing in red wine. And if you wanted green tea while bathing in red wine? Would they cast dirty glances at you? Can you mix drinks?
I’d like to offer them a suggestion too: soda pop. Imagine bathing in bubbly soda. Wouldn’t that be cool? You’d be tingling all around. You’d probably also be sticky as a fly strip, but the tingles would be worth it, I tell ya!
If you love ramen as much as I do, you’d better head over to Hakone soon. This bath is only available until September 26th. Sluuuurp!
P.S. Soylent Green, anyone?

Ok, this totally rocks. I LOVE Ramen. How much do I love ramen? My license plate says "Ramen". I love it. That's totally hilarious.
I think the experience alone would be worth it.
Oh I so want to go there!
