I've admired Taguba ever since he appeared before those hearings in Congress... all the politicans falling over themselves to compliment him on his career and managing to be condescending at the same time. His report was one of the big signals that something terrible was happening over in Iraq and holds as much history as the Pentagon Papers.

Unlikely that Americans would vote for a man with integrity, much less a real soldier, as President for their country.

A man who would actually show balls to do difficult things?

I remember when watching "Airforce One". Harrison Ford played president. When the general stated that the President was a helicopter pilot and flew more missions in Vietnam, you should have heard the laughter in the cinema.

Bruce: I'd sure as hell at least like the chance to find out. Gen Taguba doesn't seem to have any political aspirations, so this is all hypothetical.

Do you think white people will vote for Mr. Taguba? Would they even support him?
