There was also a WSJ article awhile back about an old Chinese woman who gave her life savings to a charity. I couldn’t find it just now but maybe I will look again later.

I wonder if a lot of Asian American giving is done “under the table” or to organizations that are not ‘mainstream.’

I know my parents contribute heavily to organizations which may or may not have 501c3 status, but which do community service (or are politically that) which they support.
