When I think of the many times I felt like cashing in my chips, particularly over a failed romance, I tremble. Despair is a voracious diseased that preys on the soul as well as the mind and someone who chooses to succumb to it is far from cowardly, as some will insist. Our Savior, who has no limits to His forgiveness, has embraced Nikki into His heavenly family. We need grieve for her no more, but we must be vigilant of those we know on earth who disguise or deny they’re in despair. Respecting their privacy should come only until we are convinced they are well again.
