A google news search shows that she is still alive. Apparently she wanted out of her marriage and was planning to go to Southern California to start a new life (sounds like a lot of people's story!). Interesting. Was her marriage arranged? Did she have much choice in the matter? Could she have handled things in a better manner? Is this another case of conflict between Asian and American values?
