How can you be asian american and not know/have heard BIZARRE LOVE TRIANGLE? Totally odd.

That said, I will TOTALLY extrapolate and say that there is a definite overlapping musical taste in the gay community and the asian american community back in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Anything synthpop was much beloved by both (Depeche Mode, Erasure, New Order, Pet Shop Boys. OMD). However only the hardcore peeps listened to the B-list 80’s synthpop (Information Society, Anything Box, Camouflage, Red Flag, The Communards). Strangely, in my personal experience it was the hardcore Super Christian Asian Americans, and the Flaming Homosexuals who both loved the B-list bands the most.

On a separate note, I have yet to meet a white person who likes Dried Cuttlefish, and I have yet to actually meet an Asian who doesn’t emphatically announce “I LOVE THAT STUFF!” when it comes up in conversation.

As for things that white people like – kanji characters as tattoos. what’s up with that?
