My family read this article the day after my daughter got her purse stolen. That particular crime didn’t happen in San Jose – it was in San Francisco after she put her purse down to try on some shoes.

It was fairly disturbing, though, to read this. Even though our particular ethnicity has not been victimized yet, we live very close to the places mentions and even use the Costco that is mentioned. Maybe they figure that Filipinos don’t carry much cash.

How come they don’t have a description of these Rippers?

I want to know if these guys are Asian. It’s pretty well known that problems with Asian gangs often involve crimes where they attack their own families and friends or people they know.
