so I work-shopped that joke for a while: “as muslims we literally thank God its Friday” – got nothing.

jumma also makes a good excuse for getting out of class and meeting people. in grad school we’d go get lunch at the local kabob joint – the owner would give us 20% off if he remembered seeing us at jumma. score!

Yeah, this was pretty funny. You don’t have to have Muslim friends to enjoy it although it helps (thinking about a friend who does Wudhu in the bathroom at work). My oldest son really liked it, and he doesn’t know Muslims yet (or at least he doesn’t know which friends are Muslim). We both thought that the “freestyle rap” was particularly funny.

I grew up agnostic so I have no idea what a hat Jumma is, and i have real no idea what the differences are amongst Presbyterians, Catholics, Protestants, etc….

I think people who dont have muslim friends or dont know anything about islam will not laugh once at this… they might only laugh a few times at the accents…

But i thought this was CRAZY hillarious…
cant wait to show my barber this…
