Cat_D: Hehe, I remember when I was dragged to Girl Bar in WeHo, and there were only two things that kept me from banging my head against the wall there: watching the femme-on-femme bitchfights over their butches that happened every hour, on the hour; and realizing that the Asian butches there (at least the immigrant ones) were actually pretty hot to me. Then again, I was only 21/22 at the time, so I think anything that looked even remotely male to me was pretty hot. I was amazed though that the butches looked like the Asian frat boys I would see on campus and it took me a while to wrap my head around it.

Grace: I’m not sure what’s better, having no Asian representation like in the L Word, or having a fucked up portrayal of an Asian money boy in QAF. I suppose that some representation is better than none at all, but geez, can I at least see a queer Asian guy that actually speaks fluent American English? (Well aside of course, from Alec Mapa and that Asian guy in Entourage)

Now, I’m not griping just because there is a lack of Asian representation on The L Word. However, not to have any Asians on The L Word is just blatantly inaccurate. It’s like having a show based in Greenwich, CT and not having any white people.
