I don't think it was given to me by a higher power, I wont end it but I don't do anything to delay it's end. If I were to get cancer I'd say ... at least I lived my life the way I wanted. As Moye points out, some Asian parents don't encourage their kids to do sports, something that I have seen in my years of coaching kids. I have heard comments from parents that range that they are "too weak to play" to wanting them to "focus on academics." I think obesity is spreading from the US to other countries, as the globalization of McDonald's and KFC has infiltrated Asia. As Asian Americans adopt the American diet, they are starting to gain weight, too. Interesting article.
