i agree with Jeff C...
that fight scene made the whole movie worth it...
it was like the second Star Wars movie... it was 2 hrs of shitty-ness and Hayden Chris-whats-his face's horrible acting but when Yoda pulled out his lightsaber and started jumping off walls fighting Count Dooku it was SOOOOO worth it...

haha... haters...

while the storyline wasn't the best, I thought the five-minute fight between the two made the movie worth watching!

If you REALLY wanna see a crap Jackie Chan or Jet Li movie, watch "The Medallion" or "The One" respectively... and yes, I paid to see both opening night -_-

It's not really fair to compare it against "Wong Fei Hung"... though they're both martial arts flicks, they're different genres, with "Wong Fei Hung" being a historical drama and "Forbidden Kingdom" being a comedic fantasy adventure... a better comparison would be "A Chinese Ghost Story" or the like

Off-topic, but does anyone know why the girl consistantly spoke in the third-person?

Forbidden Kingdom was a crap movie. It has a nerdy white guy as the lead who gets with the Chinese girl. Totall Hollywood propoganda. Even Jackie Chan warned his fans that this movie would suck:

You know it's bad when the star badmouths the movie. You're a fool for getting so worked up over it. Go watch Once Upon a Time in China, or even Big Trouble in Little China if you want something more authentic.

I saw it in the theater, and it wasn't very good. It would be better to spend your time re-watching Drunken Master 2 or Once Upon a Time in China.

Too bad the movie was only so-so. I saw it with Howie when I was up in Seattle back in April and wasn't too impressed by it.
