It is also pointed out in the article that Wu had large real estate holdings - perhaps these were more bits of kindling that fed the flames of his anger. While the kind of thinking shown in the comments is disturbing, it is also disturbing that neighbors and co-workers claimed that they had no hint that this "family man" (he had three young kids) was about to explode. But then again, people are like that - I have known a number of people who seemed normal on the surface but were hiding things that were very dark.
