Different people have different experiences and while you as someone of some NAI heritage may have come to terms with the oppression of Native American peoples, others may not. I say this as someone who is of some NAI heritage and married to a minority as well. Thanksgiving reminds us of a day of peace and cooperation with the Native American Indians.
