Kim you're a LEGEND, this had me laughing from beginning to end. I'm having an identity crisis myself, I know my origin is in AFRICA and growing with white family makes me look mixed race because my skin colour is brown. But after I finish my university I'm going to Mauritius to live there, at least that is my plan. Could your next piece of writing be about what is beautiful, I find that topic quite interesting because I'm from London & I have noticed in America they throw the N word around very easily. The Asians spend money on whitening creams while White people spend money on tanning. So what is beautiful?

Dear Shelise

I have watched some Korean drama but I find their variety show more interesting. It's crazy some of the things they do as celebrities, could you picture Brad Pitt doing such a thing. But I have noticed they encourage each other by praising their team mates with a little song, and 'Milky White Skin' always comes up. The only time I heard 'Milky Chocolate Skin' was when Oh Ji Ho was on their team. He isn't even that dark. But I must say you Koreans have an interesting take on beauty. I love it lol this woman went to teach English in Korea & her youtube video is so funny. I just wanted to share this video with all of you.

Peace & Love

Kim,

As a fellow Korean adoptee raised in the rural Midwest, I look forward to your future posts.

As mentioned by some others, a great way to "feel" Korean is to watch Korean dramas. They are cheesy, corny and sappy, but it's one time where I can feel like I'm part of Korea. Check out the site www.dramafever.com. The dramas are free and the video quality is top notch.
