Jon Gosselin is a Disgrace

By Jee | Thursday, July 23, 2009 | 13 Comments

jon gosselin Jon Gosselin is a DisgraceI was really going to refrain from saying anything out loud about Jon Gosselin, the half Korean father from TLC’s reality show Jon and Kate Plus 8. From the start of the whole drama surrounding him and his family, I tried to keep my opinions to myself; I fought to give him and Kate the benefit of the doubt. All the while, I hoped that both would handle the demise of their relationship with dignity and grace.

But a woman can take so much, and I am appalled at the way he has been handling himself, dating a 22-year old woman within days of announcing their divorce. Sure, we all sympathized with him because Kate can be a bit harsh, but dude, I mean, come on. He is fully embracing his single life and I can’t help but wish he would use some wise decision making skills. Moving from woman to woman is just not a good way to handle yourself no matter what.

Thanks for rating this! Now tell the world how you feel via Twitter.
(Nah, it's cool; just take me back.)

I never knew anything about this guy until I got a hold of a mag talking abt him and his new girl. I’m like “darn this guy. Leaving a wife with his 8 kids” seriously, what kind of a man would do that?! After 8 kids you’d think they’re meant FOR LIFE. Guess not!

jee! You’re feeding the machine! if you don’t like him, don’t give him publicity!

Like the author said we understand why Kate and Jon’s relationship didn’t work out – Kate is not exactly the most pleasant person and she kept putting Jon down. BUT his recent activities is disgraceful. He really needs to think about what he is doing. Before all of his douchebaggery public perception was in his favor but now, everyone hates him.

  • csc3

^^ i2i. i was sympathetic @ jon in the beginning, but his recent adventures are definitely not cool.

that, and he needs to stop wearing ed hardy clothing. i mean, seriously.

  • LindaChan

He needs to man up and stop acting like a 22-year-old. Those 8 kids need him. Not just financially but emotionally and physically. He needs to stop gallivanting around!

  • tbt

The fact that people think they know their relationship, and can comment on it and pass judgment, is the problem here much more than the actions of either of them. They are hardly innocent in this, having decided to lace their relationship in the public eye for financial gain, but the warped sense their decision creates for us–and that we contribute to further by ignoring its oddity and incredulity–is the real appalling quality to the whole mess.

  • Confuse_Us

I agree that it’s disgraceful for Jon Gosselin to be dating so soon after his divorce. He should forget dating and just focus on banging everything in sight – he can afford the condoms.

I’m totally Team Kate now. She may be a bitch but she knows what she’s doing, which is to lay low during a divorce.

I would say that both are pretty disgraceful. I think you’re going light on Kate. A “bit harsh”? Please. She’s a nightmare. And how can a person build up such an ego from a reality show based on raising your children? It was noted a few times her asking customer service people, “Do you know who I am? Do you know who I am??”

Jon didn’t leave Kate. Jon is still with the kids and the kids prefer Jon over Kate. Watch any of the videos, the kids give Jon hugs and kisses. They’re always happy with Jon.

Kate abuses these kids. Yells at them for rolling on grass. Tells these kids they can’t use markers or eat rainbow icecream because they’re too loud. LOL

Actually, Jon and Kate were “separated’ back in Oct. 2008. Jon has been sleeping in the garage since Dec. 2008.

So I see no problems with Jon “dating” while they’re already separated. Kate like most women are tricky and manipulative. Jon was used to take care of the kids while Kate travelled with her bodyguard / boyfriend.

Kate even forced Jon to “renew” their wedding” in Hawaii just to get more money off TLC.

Everything is staged. This TV show is all scripted.

The kids love Jon more than to do Kate.
