The word for "man" can also mean "person," so when my dad took me to dinner once to explain that he was separating from my mom, he would continuously say "YOUR MOTHER IS A GOOD MAN," which made me pissed at him all the more at the time. The Wife and the Brother-in-Law make the same mistake much to the amusement of my kids, but they don't make such a big deal of it any more after I explained the situation with pronouns in Tagalog. This is too funny! My Filipino husband is ALWAYS doing that. He has an accent but not a HEAVY one, like some Filipinos. I DO make fun of him when he mixes up his him and hers! My hubby is a little Americanized. He doesn't speak Tagalog at home. I wish he would have taught the kids how to speak it, but he failed to do so )O:<br><br>Great post! Oh my!!! This is too funny!
