It was a fairly entertaining pilot episode, clunky exposition and all (the chase scene was Michael Bay-ish idiocy; I'm fairly sure there are rules and regulations regarding criminal pursuits, and the actor reactions didn't really help either, including Cho's, sadly). My main concern is that the writers seemed to have already set their sights on killing off Cho's POC character even before the first episode has even finished! Hopefully his plot twist is better than some melodramatic death for his white partner to angst over. It should be interesting to see how Noh's interracial relationship pans out (engaged to a black woman; pretty darn rare given Hollywood's crappy track record of featuring mixed couples much less an Asian male in a major role). At any rate, it's much more promising than what they've been doing with the Asian characters over on Heroes (which I've dropped completely).

Hmm. The ham-fisted deliveries were more distracting than the fake explosions. But I get that they had to deliver a lot of clunky exposition in just forty-five minutes, so hopefully the show will even out over the next few episodes.

John Cho looks good bruised and bloodied. Get this man an action movie.

I saw the premier and enjoyed it. I didn't notice the explosions were too fake, but I definitely noticed the helicopters flying overhead as fake...

I thought it was odd that Cho's character wasn't in the SUV after the whole world woke up from its FlashForward, like his partner was. Overall, I thought Cho's performance was fine. I hope they don't kill off his character.
