But this shouldn't be about culture. It's about a food item, that makes up most of the menus in many restaurants, possibly getting ruined if they are forced to comply. Indirectly you could say it is about culture, but the argument (as stated in the linked article) that "this is our culture" isn't a good one. "This would ruin our livelihood" - THAT should be the argument here. The health officials are being ridiculous. But this shouldn't be about culture. It's about a food item, that makes up most of the menus in many restaurants, possibly getting ruined if they are forced to comply. Indirectly you could say it is about culture, but the argument (as stated in the linked article) that “this is our culture” isn't a good one. “This would ruin our livelihood” – THAT should be the argument here.
