<p>I don&#39;t know if you could read Chinese, but this is the author you&#39;ve mentioned talking about acceptance of a gay son in contrast to a mainland China author who denounces homosexuality.</p>

		<description>I saw the NY Times article yesterday and purchased a copy of 大江大海. I live in Taipei and it&#039;s a huge bestseller here. Both anecdotes you mention above, including yours, sound like my family&#039;s story. In our case, my grandparents were never reunited with the son they left behind in China  (he was ill and they were afraid of moving him) because he died in an &quot;accident&quot; during the Cultural Revolution. I really, really hope this gets published in English soon.</description>
