yes, we should all be mature about situations like these but if i were attacked by a punch to the face i would retaliate as well.

had this been on a predominantly black bus, the asian lady would not have made it out alive. no one would stop the fight, and the rest of the bus would probably jump in the fight to back up the black lady.

im glad to see that at least the rest of the asians did not jump in. it was a fair fight.

the younger asian woman probably had never faced any racial tension in her life growing up in San Francisco where schools are dominantly Asian, and even more specifically, Chinese.

Show me a fight where the tables would be turned and a younger black woman would break up that fight.

I took this bus once. It gets SO PACKED. As someone who lives in Atlanta, I can totally appreciate this happening on public transport.

Both women are at fault. There was a lot of racial tension, especially for a black woman standing her ground amongst those Asian passengers while the Asian woman was trying to get support from them. Yes, she threw the first punch but the Asian woman was equally aggressive with those punches to the head (assault, California Penal Code 241.3). And while one passenger did step in to intervene, it's still the bus driver's responsibility to report the incident.

If I were on that bus? I would have stepped in between them and tried to calm them down, and mediate the situation.

As a daily commuter myself (one hour each way), I totally get where their rage came from. Sometimes you get unreasonably angry over the smallest things, because you've just about had it up to here with people's insensitivity. I'm surprised I don't see MORE fights break out.

I dont know what's more eff-ed up, the fact that no one is helping the lady break off the fight or the man egging her on. The whole thing is seriously retarded, why cant people have the balls do to anything?
