I saw melody once at a restarant when she was 7 yrs old.she was special, I’ve never seen such a bubbly golden child. I digress here to say 3 of my khamer friends have lost children to drive by shootings in long beach ca.WHat is going to happen now is a mass exodes of cambodians from long beach ca.

this is really really sad, especially since she was a promising khmer american teen. as a khmer american myself, it is rare, amongst large khmer communities, to find kids who aim to break through the cycle of poverty, violence, and lack of resources to achieve something greater. her parents probably endured unspeakable horrors during the killing fields, and then to face the death of their daughter must be unfathomable. my heart truly goes out to them. thanks for your thoughts.
