Achievement Gap Widening Between APA and Non-APA Students

The Washington Post reports that “a new study from the Center on Education Policy underscores how significantly Asian American students outpace their peers, particularly in Maryland and Virginia. […] Nationwide, the percentage of Asian American students scoring in the upper echelons on math exams was 17 points higher than the percentage of white students. Notably, that gap has continued to widen in more recent years.”

But before you guys start high-fiving each other and start boasting how you guys got into Yale, this zinger from a comment from the article: “…Non-Asians, no need to worry here: assimilation is a bitch. Within a few generations, Indians, Chinese, Koreans, and Japanese will be as fat, stupid and lazy as [all the] other Americans.” Oh, snarky white Washington Post reader! You’re completely right.
