Jeremy Lin’s Houston Rockets Move Angers Fans

lindraft055413 525x415 Jeremy Lins Houston Rockets Move Angers Fans

If you haven’t heard already from numerous sources, Jeremy Lin has officially taken the $25 million offer from Houston Rockets after his home team, the New York Knicks, refused to match the offer. If I was in his shoes, I would take that offer because I could certainly use the payroll upgrade. But then there is that question of loyalty and being grateful to the people that made you a standout in the first place. It’s pretty clear that this is not sitting well with a LOT of people.

In Audrey Tse’s Our Chinatown article, one of the commentators left this on Jeremy Lin’s official FB page:

You sellout chink you should have stuck to the team that made you..your lucky ny even was lucky to sign you again after the way you played ur last few weeks..sicking..a true new yorker would have been loyal

Never mind the awful grammar (I guess writing in the Internet these days gives you a bad grammar pass) but this is only one of the few hostile sentiments from Lin’s supposed “fans” that are tearing up like diva queens in a hot flash.

So what do you guys think? Is Jeremy Lin a traitor for taking the better offer? Thoughts! Angry sentiments! Hot flashes! Lend us your thoughts!

Thanks for rating this! Now tell the world how you feel - Share this on Twitter and on Facebook.
(Nah, it's cool; just take me back.)

Who is this guy and what games has he been watching? Knicks won 5 of 6 games before Lin went out with his injury and he cut down his turnovers during that stretch. Also, Jeremy Lin is from Palo Alto, the opposite of a New Yorker. Some people…. smh

Well, of course there’s going to be people who are upset and angry about this (including several racist jerks), but like most of the comments I saw throughout the web, sports and non-sports fans, most of them are neutral or cool with this. Probably like 1 out of 1000 people are mad at Lin, but more people are mad at the Knicks organizations themselves for either not willing to pay more or not finding other solutions to keep him.

And if he stayed it would’ve been ‘You stupid ***** you passed up all that money blah blah blah”. Racist douche bags are gonna be racist douche bags.
