Okay, I’ll admit, when I first heard about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back in the late 80s when the first cartoon series came out (and I was 10), I remember thinking “Ninja TURTLES? That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard of!” So I had to watch it, and I have been a huge TMNT fan ever since.

To my geeky delight, a new Nickelodeon TMNT TV series has just been released this fall, and wow, I might hazard to say that it’s better than the first cartoon series. The action and animation is great, the dialog is so much fun, and who doesn’t love pizza eating, ninjutsu practicing turtles? So which turtle do I identify with? Easy, Michelangelo. Because he is always lost in his own little world and spends most of the time laughing at his own jokes. Yup, sounds just about right. I also really like his new battle cry: BOOYAKASHA!
