At least in my opinion. If you haven’t seen the show, where in the world have you been?

Okay, so our very own Ernie did a great writeup about the extremely talented crew, but I wanted to highlight one of the members who I met a few years back through a mutual friend – Mike Song.

He started dancing in high school after he saw his bible study teacher popping at a church retreat. Having grown up in the same area as him, I have been around his mentors and colleagues (even though I don’t dance) and let me tell you this, I’ve seen some good, if not great dancers, but nothing comes even close to him. He is so clean with his isolations and so unique that it brings dancing to a whole new level. Below is a video to a short choreography bit he did for the Oxford Academy’s dance class. Check it!

The gPC runs on a stripped down Linux-based operating system customized to leverage online applications accessed through the web browser – genius. When I took a look at their interface, I instantly noticed icons for Facebook, Meebo, Gmail, YouTube, and Firefox, all of which are applications I use on a daily basis.

“I remember when I was really young, maybe 12 years old, reading an article where (Netscape founder) Marc Andreessen said he was part of a generation where 90% of their activity happened on the Web,”

I think what Marc said is very true and the shift towards cloud computing is happening as we speak. In an interview at Fsckin, David Liu talked about how he came up with the idea of the gOS:

“I got interested in Google applications, especially docs and spreadsheets, presentations; and originally, I wanted to create my idea of what a Google OS would look like.. if there were such a mythical OS. As I started looking around at all the Google applications out there, I realized that all of our “computing” could eventually be done in the Google cloud. We just needed an OS that looked really good and pointed people to Google in a really friendly, intelligent way. After seeing this, I got excited because I saw it was also commercially viable for the mainstream end user.”

Sure, you can’t play World of Warcraft, but hey, for the mainstream consumer who uses the computer to access web applications, the gOS looks like a great economical alternative. What do you guys think?

I admit it, I’m a huge YouTube addict. I spend an inordinate amount of time on it and I just recently noticed that most of the people I follow are Asian Americans. So, today I am going to share with you some Asian American YouTube Celebrities. Drumroll please!

First up, we have KevJumba. He’s a high school kid with a quirky sense of humor similar to Dave Chappelle. He has a lot of video blogs about random subjects such as Asian stereotypes and studying for the SAT. His blog about the SAT really hit home because it reminded me of my high school days and my struggles with the SAT. Ugh.

Next, we have an R&B/Christian/Soul singer in San Francisco who goes by the name of Passion. He has a smooth voice and heartfelt lyrics and I will never forget the day I listened to his song “Well Done.” I must have hit replay a million times.

Lastly, we have David Choi, a staff producer and songwriter for Warner Chappell Music Publishing. His videos were made to entertain, educate, and inform, and not once does he smile. His video about YouTube pretty much sums up my life. Check it out here:
