Bank of the West Joins Japan Disaster Relief Effort
Like many corporations, Bank of the West is joining the effort to help Japan in the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami by donating $200,000 to assist the survivors of aftermath. More importantly, the bank is also waiving fees for its customers on any money transfers from the US to Japan until April 30th, 2011. Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda Designs T-Shirts for Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief
While I drove to work in the morning, a Live 105 interview with Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park caught my ear for a number of reasons. Wokai Sends Money to Rural Chinese Entrepreneurs
I ran across this a while ago but haven’t had time to look into it further until now. I was searching for a microlending organization that not only was either a write-off or “investment” of sorts, but focused on China.
