This is my first time using Ableton for a Non-stop mix. You’d think beat matching software would be easier (PLo balked when I told him I was about to go back to Garageband. *thehorror!thehorror!* Really, I just need more time to practice.) While I don’t have much of an excuse for my absence between podcasts, let’s just say that I’ve finally found some juice to keep me going for at least 50 more episodes.

Apart from this being my special 50th episode non-stop FemBOTmix, this is also a tribute to all the fan remixers out there who have such passion in creating music whether or not someone is listening. All the tracks you hear can be found on Youtube or on the DJ’s respective sites.

Back from my travels in Korea! You would think in one of the most connected part of the world, I would be able to be ‘more connected’ but actually found out that despite free WiFi everywhere, when I really needed it, I needed to have a data plan.

In this episode, I chat with Linda Goldstein-Knowlton, the director of Somewhere Between, a documentary about Chinese adoptees, some popular Kpop YouTubers make a brief appearance and new music from my favorite group After School.

Kylie Minogue is one of those artists that can do no wrong. She’s lovable as a personality and can turn on the sizzle when she needs to. She is one of the few Western artists that can don a kimono and geisha wig and make it work in the most artful and classy way possible – even in a bikini – in a bathtub.

“You will like my sense of style.” – Indeed. And honestly, who doesn’t love Kylie Minogue?

After parting ways with OMGKpop, I took the time off and revisited some old non-Asian music I used to listen to. At the same time I got an email from a listener who found it ‘different’ that I mixed all Jpop, Kpop and Western music into one show. And while I wouldn’t call it fusion, I would say the medley is what makes POP 88 rather unique conceptually.
