naaap 8/21 8/24: Los Angeles: 2008 NAAAP National Convention and Diversity Career Fair

The National Association of Asian American Professionals

22nd Annual NAAAP National Convention: “Leadership: Rising and Shining Stars”

www.naaapconvention.org

Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 9:00am to Sunday, August 24, 2008 at 12:00pm
Hyatt Regency Century Plaza
2025 Avenue of the Stars
Los Angeles, CA

*** The Theme ***

Our theme refers to Los Angeles’ best known industry – Hollywood and show business. Since the last time the NAAAP National Convention was in Los Angeles in 2000, Asian North Americans have made significant strides in entertainment and many other fields, but there is still much further to go both on screen and behind the scenes.

NAAAP’s answer to this is in its new vision, freshly adopted earlier this year:

“We Make Leaders!”

Through leadership we guide individuals, companies and communities to new heights and are unafraid to tackle the impossible and challenge orthodoxy. This year’s convention will spotlight the shining stars of Asian North America – well known celebrities, corporate trailblazers and unheralded everyday heroes – and give them a stage to tell their stories to guide the next generation – our rising stars.

Come to the convention this August and be one of our rising and shining stars!

*** Highlights of the Convention ***

* Over 20 seminars and workshops on leadership and professional development
* A one day intensive Leadership Institute
* A two day Diversity Career Fair and Business Expo
* Gala keynote luncheons and dinners
* The NAAAP Golf Challenge
* An opportunity to network with over 1000 attendees from the United States, Canada and the world
