The Asian Grandmother’s Cookbook

Seriously, why even bother?  Your grandmother cooks better than you, for no other reason than the fact that SHE IS YOUR GODDAMN GRANDMOTHER.  And to that we say: don’t fight it, embrace it!  The Asian Grandmother’s Cookbook ($23) by Pat Tanumihardja is a book which celebrates old-school cooking while still telling the story of our immigrant past. Tim from 8Asians has a great review of the cookbook as well.

And if that enough isn’t a reason to purchase the book: soup dumplings.  Delicious, motherfucking soup dumplings.
