It’ll be interesting to see how many people, especially Vietnamese Americans, show up. As I had blogged earlier, most Vietnamese Americans who are registered are registered Republicans. San Jose has one of the largest Vietnamese populations outside of Vietnam and comprises ten percent of San Jose’s one million residents.

I am so delighted and rejoiced to know that there are Vietnamese American who speak up for Obama-Biden after I received an email in Vietnamese with racist tones which made me very shameful and sick in the heart. The email refers Barack Obama as Hussain O. and Biden as Bi-Den (becomes black in Vietnamese) in the entire email while it refers to Sarah Palin as a little sister "em" (in Vietnamese it could mean differently!) and the most successfull governor in the US. It also ridicules "the black skin colonel Powell who endorses Obama does not appear intelligent". Colonel Powell who has fought in VN and thousand of African American GIs have died in the VN war do not deserve to be ridiculed by the Vietnamese American and Immigrants! In summary, the writer of this email proves less than intelligent as he/she just repeats what Fox News has to say and embraces the hatred messages that McCain-Palin is proclaiming all along! I admit that each of us has our own issues but I need to put all things in perspective at this election. So I am voting for a new bright future of the US, the land that I love with Obama-Biden.
