8 Asians

Kollaboration — gotta love the fact that it starts with the letter K instead of the letter C — has been a Southern California Asian American institution since 2000, showcasing Asian American talent of different forms as a way to promote community and activism. With the rise of YouTube and Reality Televsion, many of this years acts have had exposure to mainstream America: Kina Grannis and Paul Dateh have viral YouTube videos, Jazmin and Kenichi Ebiwa appeared on MTV’s Top Pop Group and Showtime at the Apollo, respectively. And along with these high profile artists will be performances from Joy Koy and America’s Best Dance Crew’s Kaba Modern and Fanny Pak.

8Asians.com and our sister podcast POP 88 have teamed up with Kollaboration to offer the chance to win tickets for you and a friend to the February 21st Kollaboration 9 show in Los Angeles, California. To enter, go to the POP 88 Social Network and click on the Win Tickets link — on Valentines day, we’ll choose two lucky people to win tickets for them and a guest for the show and entrance to the exclusive After Party. And while you’re there, become a member of the POP 88 Social Network for a chance to win more free stuff in the upcoming months.
