Unique Parenting Style? Asian American Parents Sought for New Cable Series

8A-2013-04-10-PunchedInTheHead

An award-winning production company and a top-rated national cable network is casting a new docu-series that will explore unique perspectives on parenting — styles like attachment parenting, authoritative parenting, green parenting… you name it, they’re interested in hearing about it.

They’re especially seeking Asian American parents to be part of the series. Are you a parent interested in telling your story?

Over the coming weeks, Punched in the Head will be conducting interviews with prospective parents and families. These interviews will largely take place via webcam, so no travel is required.

What’s your parenting style? You could be featured on a new cable series.

Are you an attachment parent? Tiger Mom? A green parent? Free range? Authoritative? Permissive? Or do you have a style that’s all your own?

We’re looking for moms and dads with unique perspectives on parenting for a new series on a top-rated national cable network. Please send your name, phone number, e-mail address, a description of your family/parenting style, and a photo to [email protected].

My personal hope is that Asian Americans who defy stereotypes— that is NO TIGER OR DRAGON PARENTS— make it on this show.

About jozjozjoz

jozjozjoz is a taiwanese-american gal who lives and blogs underneath the hollywood sign and who doesn’t clean her fishtank unless the fish starts to do the backstroke. she is also able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, but cannot stop from bumping into door handles, cabinet doors, and anything else that protrudes or has a sharp edge. she does not run with scissors for this same reason. she can pet the fur off a dog but don’t ask her to go anywhere near a horse. or a moth. or a roach. her dealings with L.A.’s finest (aka the parking violations department) are legend, as are her giant sneezes. Other than the two too many joz’s, jozjozjoz is a perfectly normal, relatively sane individual who defies the odds, reaches for the stars, and carries moonbeams home in a jar. She’d rather be a fish… but not in her own dirty fishtank. http://www.jozjozjoz.com
