First, novelist Lisa See’s book, “Snow Flower and the Secret Fan”, garnered honorable mentions from the Asian/Pacific American Awards for Literature. Then, the book was transformed into a movie and released earlier this year. Now, the “Snow Flower and the Secret Fan DVD ($26.99) is available for pre-order, set to ship November 1st. Directed by Wayne Wang, the movie features many Asian and Asian American actors like Archie Kao and Gianna Jun. The film runs 137 minutes, so it’s perfect for a girl’s night in.
