Fluxus Music’s Tribute to Michael Jackson
So, how does the anniversary of the King of Pop’s death have to do with the Asian Diaspora? Well, it would be foolish to not acknowledge Michael Jackson’s contribution in music worldwide. After all, it was only in North America where his popularity nose-dived and was seen as a freak. More Thoughts on The Karate Kid Remake
Things to consider when watching the 2010 version of The Karate Kid: Throw the haterade out and watch with an open mind. Nevermind the film is called The Karate Kid and should have been called The Kung-Fu Kid instead. In my opinion, the latter title sounds corny particularly because it’s a remake of the former. While there were a lot of really fascinating documentaries shown at this year’s Hot Docs World Documentary Festival in Toronto this past week, one of the more stand out ones was “The House of Suh”.
