About Mihee

Mihee lives in the Mid-West with her husband, toddler-aged twins (yes, terrible twos is actually a thing), and baby #3. Though her reserve of brain cells is seriously depleted she is still passionate about Asian American culture, religion and social justice for marginalized people, stories about Korea, sports, and power naps. During the day, she spends a lot of time trying to remember which baby needs to eat or get a diaper change, mentoring and ministering to college students, occasionally taking a walk, writing, watching Sportscenter, or grabbing coffee. You can read her blog here.

LPGA Winner In-Kyung Kim Donated Entire Winnings to Charity

Periodically, my husband jokes that he’d like me to trade in my clergy collar for golf clubs just to see how I’d do since apparently being a Korean woman would give me some kind of advantage. That would be interesting … Continue reading

South Korea World Cup Coach Quits Over CyberBullying

I’ll be one of the first to generalize about my people: Koreans love drama whether it’s on tv or in real life. Of course, the drama of the 2010 FIFA World Cup was compelling: all the Asian countries made a … Continue reading

Sunday’s Coming Trailer Spoofs Christian Worship Sermons and APA Leaders

http://vimeo.com/11501569 This video that spoofs Christian worship services has been popping up back on various Christian blogs, Facebook and Twitter, and cracks me up. Depending on where one is on the “contemporary-traditional” worship service spectrum, it may or may not … Continue reading

Two Moms: Fighting for Family

I picked up this story about Shirley Tan and her partner Jay off a couple of blogs and I can think of few things that seriously piss me off more. Though I’m a person of faith, and it’s my “job,” sometimes … Continue reading

Top Chef’s Pretty Padma: Fashionista & Foodie

I love food. I am not terribly fashionable, although some people have said they “like my style.” I’m not sure what that means; maybe I would label my style as casual hippy-urban, because I basically wear flowy tanktops and shorts … Continue reading

7 Ft Tall Bhullar Brothers Take On Basketball

I’m relatively obsessed with height. I’ve always dreamed of not just being an awesome basketball player, but also looking like I belong comfortably in the paint*. I even tried to play in 8th and 9th grade. I had the same coach both … Continue reading
